AED and CPR Classes

Did you know that SCA is planning to install a new AED (Automated External Defibrillator) at the Anthem Tennis Hut area by the end of the year? We think it's important that all members familiarize themselves with the operation of these devices (there are others at SCA community centers, and many public buildings) in combination with CPR as one never knows when help may be needed.

We partnered with SCA EPSG (Emergency Preparedness Service Group) which regularly offers  60-minute "Hands-Only CPR & AED" classes in the community and can add extra classes if needed - based on demand.

Our Board Members have already taken this class and highly recommend it. If you are interested, please send an email to Kelly - with dates and times that would work for you, and if we have enough people we will work with EPSG to create extra classes.

Election Meeting and Cocktail Party on 11/8

Members socializing with delicious apps

Thanks to all members who attended Election meeting and Cocktail party on 11/8. What a fabulous night it was.

The Election Meeting served as the event's opening. The following 2025 Board nominations were all formally approved. Congratulations!

   President: Ted Turner
   Vice President: Mark Tetzlaff
   Secretary: Mary Ann Apone
   Treasurer: Debbie Rogers
Board at Large: Ken Delman, Susan Stephens, Kelly Schwalbe, Margaret Hicks

Members had a great time mingling over delicious apps, desserts, and cocktail bar over the remainder of the evening. A massive charcuterie board set in the middle of the room served as the focal point for all the apps.

Many members won lovely gift baskets and prizes to take home.
Our previous resident member Mel led a line dancing session. A few members had the opportunity to show off their dance skills.
Finally, a huge thank you to everyone who gave up valuable time to help, provided desserts, and donated gifts for the raffle ticket prizes.

Octoberfest Mixer was another successful event
